James Bay Resources Limited is a Canadian mineral exploration company with 19,700 hectares in the McFauld’s Lake area of the James Bay Lowlands. The property is located roughly 30 kilometres west-southwest of the “Eagle One” Ni-Cu-PGE discovery made by Noront Resources along the “Ring of Fire”, an emerging and potentially world-class base metal camp.

Highlights

The James Bay Resources property is located roughly 30 kilometres west-southwest of Noront’s “Eagle One” Ni-Cu-PGE discovery near McFauld's Lake in Northern Ontario. The property consists of 82 unpatented mining claims that total 1,231 units, or 19,700 hectares, underlain by Archean mafic to intermediate metavolcanic rocks, mafic intrusive rocks and granitoid rocks of the Sachigo Volcanic Belt (“SVB”).

Of the more than 30 targets thus far identified on the James Bay property, the highest priorities for exploration lie within Property Blocks “C” and “C-extension”. In this area, the magnetic signature indicates a possible layered intrusion approximately 7 kilometres long and a strong electromagnetic conductive trend (approximately 5 km x 1 km) indicates 2 or 3 distinct conductive bodies. Additional geophysics and diamond drilling are planned for priority targets.

An Independent Technical Report, compliant with NI 43-101, was recently compiled by Project Manager, Brad Leonard of Caracle Creek International Consulting (CCIC). The report provides a summary of scientific and technical data on the property and makes recommendations concerning its future exploration and development. CCIC has concluded that the James Bay Resources property has merit as an early-stage exploration project for Cu-Ni-PGE mineralization in addition to VMS mineralization, diamondiferous kimberlites, and Mesozoic gold mineralization. The geological and geophysical data suggests that the James Bay Resources property has strong potential for economic base metal sulphide and PGE mineralization.
